“make no mistake, they will come after us” – Bill Nighy in Pirate Radio. a cool movie about doing what you love in the face of the establishment. it does kind of remind me of Steal Beauty where a young girl trys to find her father among artists in an amazing house in the Italian country side. except its Charlie Rowe looking for is father on a ship of outlaw djs. in any case both movies are quite lovely w lots of reckless shagging.
oh yeah, the Catalina Wine Mixer PHOTOS last thursday at FIREHOUSE was awesome. nice work to the whole SDCM team. now on to the ….

SDCM is born …
after creating, building, and opening “analog”, the newest member of our dysfunctional, but fun, family of venues (now FIREHOUSE, Vin De Syrah, & Analog) we realized we needed to focus all our creative media and assets internally. for some time now our master of cool, awesome, campy, & doing Makers’ shots, patrick eckstein, had been planning, executing, and marketing all our events by himself. to prevent him from early hair loss, a team of half sober super heros was put together, SDCM was born.
so what began as SD Creative Media, our in house creative and design agency, was rebranded to simply SDCM. we still do all our own ads, colateral, and get paid to come up w ideas that are barely socially aceptable or even legal, but now we have an actual marketing team of people who not only do their best work w/ a few drinks in them, they make all our wildest dreams come true.
