SDCM Sneak Peak at Bo Beau in OB

If you weren’t able to join us for the sneak peak bo beau last week, C’est trop mauvaise.. but don’t fret. Bo Beau will be opening to the public in early december. This is a spot not to be missed. With heavy mediterranean and french county influence, bo beau will transport you to the sweeping vistas of provence. Located at the entrance to robb field, bo beau is the newest hot french restaurant, bar and lounge in SD. The beautiful indoor dining is complemented by a lovely outdoor patio and lounge, where guests enjoyed the sounds of maria de la paz and paulo darosa.

The event was a complete success as we celebrated the release of this years Beajolais Nouveau. For those of you unfamiliar with this type of wine, it is traditionally distributed and celebrated in france on the 3rd thursday in november. Beajolais Nouveau is a young red wine, intended to be consumed immediately. Wine critic Karen MacNeil has compared drinking Beaujolais Nouveau to eating cookie dough. By the time it is over, more than 65 million bottles will be distributed and drunk around the world.

During our SDCM event, it seemed that nearly that many bottles were consumed as guests were poured numerous glasses continuously throughout the night. The menu did not disappoint either. Cheery servers served all the party goers crab cakes with curry rémoulade, sobrasada chorizo and serrano ham with mozzarella flat bread, roasted beet and brie cheese with curry marmalade flat bread and pork rillets on country bread and fig jam. This of course was just the sneak peak and left guests eager to try the full menu as soon as the doors open.
